Deus Kasaati Kananura is the visionary bearer of Glorious Future Foundation. I am a pastor, holding the position of Senior Pastor at Glory Of Christ Church in Matuga, Sanga Buwoonzi. I am married to Kelen Kananura, and we are blessed with nine biological children. My passion lies in empowering the less fortunate and improving the lives of people in our communities, both spiritually and physically, all for the glory of the Lord. Pr. Deus Kasaati Kananura, having grown up in a humble family stricken by poverty and unable to pursue further studies due to the loss of both parents at a young age, was adopted by one of his father's friends. He was raised in a household with many children from different families, all lacking basic necessities. As he faced life's challenges, God called him to serve, and he established a church. Soon, numerous needy and orphaned children began seeking support from the church. This experience inspired the idea to start an organization, driven by his passion and rooted in his own challenging upbringing. Thus, the organization was founded, with the mission of providing both physical and spiritual support to needy and orphaned children, ensuring they have a glorious future in the name of Jesus.
Kelen Kananura
Executive Director
Kelen Kananura is the wife of Pr. Deus Kananura. She also holds the role of pastor at Glory of Christ Church. Her passion is primarily focused on two areas: spreading the gospel through evangelism and door-to-door outreach, and caring for children. As a mother herself, Kelen has a deep love for nurturing children, and her ministry within the church is centered around providing care and support for the children in the Sunday school program. Her strong dedication to supporting needy and vulnerable children played a significant role in embracing and endorsing her husband Pr. Deus Kananura's idea of establishing an organization aimed at helping such children.
Edward Kakooza
Chief Development Officer
Edward is a responsible and accomplished individual with a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU). He possesses a diverse skill set that extends beyond his academic qualifications. Before joining Glorious Future Foundation (GFF), Edward served as a Data Quality and Process Assurance Coordinator at International Care Ministries (ICM), an NGO dedicated to assisting the Ultra Poor. His upbringing at the Good Samaritan Center in Nansana, an orphanage where he received his nursery, primary, and secondary education, has had a profound impact on his life. A pivotal moment in Edward's journey was receiving a full bursary from Apostle Alex Mitala, the Director of Back to the Bible Truth Evangelistic Mission and Good Samaritan Centre, which enabled him to pursue higher education. This personal history continues to inspire Edward to give back to children facing situations similar to his own. Edward is happily married to Jairus, and they are the proud parents of two wonderful sons. Together, they have been dedicated members of GFF for the past two years.
Mark Mwesigye
Marketing and Communications Officer
Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in marketing. Prior to joining our organization, he held managerial positions at prominent companies, including Gal Graphics Company, Dunamis Company, and Bakozi Mazima Development Company. Mark is a young and enthusiastic investor with a deep-seated desire to witness everyone achieve success in life. Mark's upbringing was marked by financial hardship, where pursuing an education posed significant challenges. During his school breaks, he diligently worked to contribute towards his tuition fees. His relentless determination eventually led him to enroll in university. Mark acknowledges that his journey to a fulfilling life is a result of God's grace, which fuels his passion for extending assistance to underprivileged children. For over three years, Mark has actively contributed to the mission of GFF, driven by his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of needy children.
Jairus Mwesigwa
Finance Officer
Jairus holds a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Social Science from Kyambogo University. Jairus is deeply passionate about serving those in need and possesses an inspiring personality, driven to make a positive impact through acts of charity, resourcefulness, loyalty, and integrity. In her capacity as our Financial Officer, Jairus assumes responsibility for various financial aspects, including financial planning, analysis, internal and external financial reporting, and all operations aimed at fostering the organization's financial growth. Prior to joining GFF, Jairus served as an Administrative Finance Assistant at Rukungiri Orphans and Vulnerable Children, where she provided guidance and leadership in their annual planning processes and the development of multi-year financial and operational strategic plans.
Gideon Ssemateeka
Administrative Officer
Gideon Ssemateeka serves as our administrator. He takes great pride in serving as an evangelist and mentoring children in his role as a minister of God. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Makerere University has enriched him with a diverse skill set, including accounting, teaching, management, and communication skills, among others. These skills enable him to fulfill his responsibilities as an administrator effectively. Prior to joining Glorious Future Foundation (GFF), he worked as a mathematics and economics teacher at Flowerland Community Secondary School, where he was also involved in the music department. He is married and has one child. His passion for mentoring and guiding young children towards a brighter future for the glory of the Lord is what drew him to join GFF.
